Chatting with Your Inner Fish

One of the first podcasts that I ever listened to was This Week in Science, hosted by Justin Jackson and Kirsten Sandford. TWiS started (and continues) as a weekly radio show out of KDVS in Davis, CA and they also recently started a This Week in Science Bookclub for their fans.

The topic for this month’s TWiS read is Your Inner Fish, by Neil Shubin. This book covers Shubin’s co-discovery of the 375-million-year-old fish-like fossil called Tiktaalik and how early adaptation in our tetrapod ancestry are still evident in our own anatomy.
