Give your ocean hugging self a break and head on over to The Saipan Blog. Angelo O’Connor Villagomez has put together a collection of some of the best in ocean blogging from the past month for Carnival of the Blue XXVIII. It amazing that he has found time to host this month’s escapades since he is also running as the 2009 Democratic Nominee for Mayor of Saipan. Go Angelo!
In case you are not familiar with Saipan, it is “the largest island and capital of the United States Commonwealth of the Northern Mariana Islands (CNMI).” It is located in the Pacific between Hawai’i and the Philippines. Read more about it by visiting The Saipan Blog.
For a list of past Carnivals, visit the mothersite (which Mark needs to update, nudge, nudge). You can also follow updates about the Carnival of the Blue on Twitter..
And Coming up in October
Next month’s Carnival of the Blue will be hosted here at The CephalopodCast. Since I’ll be gathering your blue posts from what gets written this month, I hope to see lots of trash talking coming from the front lines of the 24th annual International Coastal Cleanup on September 19th. Also, should any of you wish to pen a few words about cephalopods at any time between now and the next month, I would be obliged. Remember that October is also the time for The International Cephalopod Appreciation Days (October 8-10) and I’ve got a few special things planned for the celebration. You better believe there will be another Podcast of the Blue coming in there somewhere.
